Reporting to the CHPP Process Superintendent, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team responsible for maintaining and improving CHPP metallurgical efficiency across dynamic processing conditions. Further, collaborate with broader site teams for process guidance and value-adding opportunities. This role involves inspecting and maintaining the operating process and critically analyzing data to identify and implement improvement ideas to enhance process efficiency and profitability. This is a fixed-term, 2-year position working onsite at Mount Thorley Warkworth mine, located near Singleton.
The role will require you to:
• Inspect and optimize process conditions.
• Plan, monitor, and analyses process performance.
• Provide recommendations and support the implementation of process improvements.
• Assist in ensuring operability targets and metallurgical efficiency KPIs are achieved.
• Minimize consumables usage in processing operations.
• Maintain a safe workplace by ensuring adherence to all HS&E policies and procedures.
• Actively develop internal and external customer relationships.
• Perform any ad-hoc duties as reasonably requested.
Essential Criteria:
• A Tertiary level qualification (or working towards completion in 2022) in chemical engineering/process or a related discipline.
• Good interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
• Excellent attitude, motivation, and passionate approach to work.
• Excellent attention to detail and data interrogation skills.
• Be physically able to undertake manual work and meet requirements of pre-employment medical.
• Current driver’s license.
Desirable Criteria:
• Suitably knowledgeable in coal processing theory with a demonstrated understanding of current process technology.
• The ability to build and maintain strong and trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
• Sound knowledge in MS Office suite.
