About this course

Bond University is one of Australia's leading law schools, renowned for its practical focus on developing legal skills and the calibre of its graduates.

The Bachelor of Laws, in conjunction with the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP), will prepare you for a career as a legal professional. Studying law will provide you with a thorough understanding of key legal topics including criminal law, property law, climate law, corporate law, and more. With the option to specialise in a specific area, including the world-first climate law and legal transformation double majors, you can choose from a wide range of electives and tailor your qualification to your interests and ambitions.

From your first semester, you will develop practical legal skills including legal writing and reasoning, oral communication, advocacy, dispute resolution, negotiation, and legal ethics, all of which are embedded throughout the degree.

You will also have the opportunity to gain industry experience through internships and work placements.

Bond graduates are now practising law throughout America, Europe, Canada and Asia, using skills and knowledge gained during their undergraduate law degree. A law degree from Bond University may allow graduates to practise in overseas jurisdictions, although students should check admission requirements in that jurisdiction. When you join Bond Law, you will enter a professional and skills-based law school.
