About this course

This programme is for those with a background in architecture, design and construction wishing to upskill or specialise in the area of architectural project management and to gain an understanding of developments in current practice. Studying a PGCertAPM will prepare you for professional roles in the management of architectural projects. You will learn about national and international architectural project management practice, and its alignment with designing and building for a sustainable future. Some electives will provide the opportunity to develop project management plans including aspects of cost management, conflict management, communication, earned value management, leadership, negotiation, procurement, sponsorship and teamwork, while others broaden your degree by allowing you to pursue personal interests. After completing the PGCertAPM, you will be a critically reflective practitioner with advanced knowledge and understanding in architectural project management. You will also be prepared for further postgraduate studies and able to apply your modern management, practical and technical skills to successfully deliver projects from inception to completion.
