Conducting initial assessments, administering assessments, scoring and interpreting assessments, writing reports, liaising with stakeholders including families, support coordinators, medical professionals etc. Planning and implementing therapy.

Majority of my days have been taken up by non-billable admin tasks, or due to the time it takes for MedEbridge to operate, waiting for emails, documents etc to load. I may have 1 - 2 clients per day up to an hour travel away due to poor communication from participants.

As an occupational therapist, I usually see 1-4 clients daily and this involves travelling to see clients. I complete documentation after each session and may plan other sessions. I respond to emails and communicate with my colleagues or other stakeholders. I complete a lot of other admin tasks, such as requesting additional funding, chasing up service agreements, organising appointments and gaining access to schools.

As an OT I am working with participants who have been referred to our company, to help them achieve their NDIS goals. This includes contacting participants or family members or support coordinators to gather information and book appointments. I also conduct face-to-face appointments to complete initial assessments or therapy. Admin responsibilities include case notes, reports, emails and billing.

My position is new grad and my day-to-day responsibility is to comply with timeframes for writing case notes, reports and other documentation, meet participants, work with stakeholders and be the best version of myself which eventually put a good light on AAA company.

As a new graduate there is a reduced caseload while you are learning mixed with activities related to the graduate program induction process. There is lots of opportunities to learn from other clinicians.
