Application Process & Interviews at ACCIONA Australia and New Zealand

The online assessment was interesting but suggest completing in a quite environment.

The interview process was done through stages, the first step was applying, completing a video interview and then an in-person interview.

It was smooth when I was transferred to another HR personnel, but the initial HR personnel was very unresponsive which kind of delayed the process.

Very friendly and open conversation

I was first put on at Acciona as an Undergraduate. I applied through the portal that was used by Swinburne University and its industry partners. I had a phone conversation/interview with HR, then an in-person interview with the Operations Manager. After this I was offered the job.

Simple process, same as every other

Standard interview process which involved a video recording interview at first and then a face to face interview.

They were very flexible as I was living in Spain at the time.

I dont even want to talk about it. So frustrating how they lied to me about hours and expectations

Hiring process was okay however I felt there was room for improvement for internal coordination. I experienced contradictory information at short notice.

The hiring process was good. There was a multi-stage selection process ending in a 3-1 interview.

I did a video interview before being asked to attend a face-to-face interview in the head office. The interviewers began by explaining the role and then eased into questions. Heard back from the company a few months after the interview.

The interview process and assessments were very simple and easy, however it took 5 months until I heard back after my in person interview.

Online application > aptitude tests > 2-1 interview > hiring process

First step was the resume, then respond to 5 questions about general topic in a video, and final one was an interview with HR and construction team.

Face to face interview with the department manager and HR, short wait time before verbal offer, then contract sent/signed. Very seamless process and was efficient.

It was more about demonstrating personal experience / competencies.

My interview felt like he just really wanted to get a gauge of whether I was a good fit for the business, and whether the business would be a good fit for me. Most of the questions revolved around me as a person, my interests, what experience I have and what I want to do with my work/career. This gave a good impression of the business, as it seemed they really cared about their people. He then said it was my turn to ask questions, so I just ran through a list of questions I'd prepared which we discussed.

Speak to people who work in the industry about what the role you're applying for to understand what it really looks like, not just how it's described on a job listing. Ask people in the industry to explain the industry as a whole to you and all the things which are valuable to know that aren't taught at University, as these aren't things that can be researched on Google.

Just be yourself! It's a behavioural interview. Don't be afraid to change your answer if you realise an opportunity to improve your question.

Start as an IBL while you're still at university.

Research the company's values and projects/plans/policies relevant to your role that you can access.

Just be yourself, there's no good or wrong answers and be confident about your capabilities.

Be yourself and make sure you prepare some STAR responses to standard questions like teamwork, problem solving etc.

Highlight your soft skills and get some prior industry experience.
