8.6
8.6 rating for Diversity, based on 11 reviews
Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
We have a good diversity in employees in more junior roles, they are working on improving diversity in more senior roles. Offer up to 14 weeks (a maximum of 70 days for full time employees) of employer paid parental leave on birth/adoption of a child, and does not distinguish between ‘primary’ and ‘secondary’ carers. You are entitled to 12 months unpaid parental leave, which can be extended to 24 months.

I feel Alluvium is striving to be better and better at how they support diversity within their company. As a white LGBTIQA+ woman, I feel very well supported and comfortable. There is a lack of racial diversity is the company, and a gender imbalance across the senior positions of the company, which I believe could both be improved upon over time.

There is great gender balance and cultural diversity at the office.

Great to see women in roles at all levels of the Alluvium Group and it is excellent working with a range of people with diverse ethnic backgrounds.

As a woman and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I feel very welcome and comfortable in the Alluvium workplace. I work on a team that is led by a woman and is composed mostly of women, which is fantastic, but it would be nice to see more women in leadership roles consistently throughout the other teams in Alluvium Consulting. I feel the cultural and ethnic composition of the staff is not yet reflective of that of the greater Melbourne population, with predominately more employees of Anglo-Saxon ethnicity (such as myself), so this could be an area for improvement as well.

Our reporting shows we have equal pay levels for females and males in the same role. I think we have quite a high proportion of females working at our company, given we work in STEM. The company is working on improving diversity in leadership positions over time. Our parental leave policy promotes equality as it doesn't distinguish leave entitlements based on primary/secondary carer.

I am unsure about LGBTIQA+ as we don't talk about our sexual partners/life style during work. But with respect to women and a range of races, yeah it's good. I feel my office is a bit "White" (I myself being half Chinese) but not at all degrading in anyway. Over the entire company I would say it's extremely diverse with a large range of women, and people of different races. As well as offices in India and soon to be Indonesia. I am uncertain about the rest.
