Please describe the interview process and assessments.
Sometimes 2 set of interviews and through LinkedIn/Seek

I felt extremely comfortable during the interview process. The two people who interviewed me were kind, respectful, and warm, putting me at ease from the get-go. It was a one-on-one interview, and rather relaxed in design. It involved me answering a number of questions, and then describing what I would like from working at Alluvium, and then what Alluvium is needing from the person who fills the position, to explore if there was a good fit between us.

I was recommended to Alluvium through my previous internship manager; therefore, it may be different for other graduates. There is a less rigid interview process compared to other consultancies that have external application portals and cognitive ability tests.

I was hired in a less formal way which I really liked, this involved going for a walk and coffee with a manager and chatting about my uni experiences and what type of work I was looking for, I was hired a week later. Unsure of the more formal process.

I was referred to the company by a person at my university. After a couple of emails, I was offered a Teams interview due to one of my interviewers being in a different state. It was a half-hour conversation with some of the senior staff. Then, I was emailed an offer.

For me it was a unique process I feel as they were urgently needing someone so the process was fast. But it was a two stage process with two formal interviews (on teams), where the first was a standard interview while the other was a logical/theory based interview.

Think about what it is YOU want from your workplace, particularly in term of the type or style of work you would like to do or would like to learn how to do. Be able to articulate this well, so you can give the interviewers a clear picture of what you can offer them so that they can assess if there is a place for you that would be a good fit. You are unlikely to be asked technical questions, Alluvium is more interested in your enthusiasm/curiosity, your values, and your desire to do high quality and interesting environmental work.
