How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
As a graduate, you are expected to be in the office regularly. It is expected that people have a minimum of 3 days per week in the office if they are full-time. However, you can arrange a flexible working arrangement individually, which means many people have more flexibility for parenting, etc. You can also take time out for appointments. I have found that I have a good amount of flexibility. Also if you are sick it is encouraged that you don't go into the office.

Alluvium is relatively flexible when it comes to hours. There is a general expectation that you will work roughly 9-5pm, however, as long as you are working a quality 7.5h for the day, then there is no strict direction on when exactly you work those hours. This flexibility is useful if you have caring responsibilities for children or others, or if you are on a site visit or community event, and are therefore needing to work earlier or later hours. Personally, I feel I currently work a few too many hours on occasion, especially when I am working from home as it is very easy to keep working past your required hours. This is often due to placing pressure on myself to complete work to a high standard and more efficiently, if I personally feel I have been too slow in delivering certain aspects of my work.

I work 3 days from the office and 2 days from home, work is flexible with hours so if commitments change some weeks I can change my wfh days. I enjoy having 2 days at home as it means I can either get up a bit later or get up and go to the gym or go for a walk before work.

I'm really happy with my work hours. I am currently studying full-time while working part-time at Alluvium, and Alluvium has been very accommodating working around my university timetable and ensuring I have adequate time to meet my study commitments comfortably. I don,'t feel any pressure to work additional hours, and my manager has actively encouraged me to leave on time!

My work hours are usually 9 am - 5 pm. However, if we have a doctor's appointment or other small commitment, we are able to start early or work a bit later in the day. I know other people in my team/office work school hours or if they start early will finish the day earlier as well.

37.5 hours. The amount of hours is flexiable to a point. I.e., I have to work my 37.5 hours but I do it is up to me. Whether I spend 12 hours a day doing work on Monday then 4 for the rest of the week, the schedule is my own (that was a extreme example).
