Managers and mentors are excellent - all are approachable and have a genuine interest in your progression and welfare.

Managers do not make good mentors here. They don't seem to have an interest in coaching or developing skills of the team. Not much follow up from there end despite myself following up. Lack of communication from direct manager, easy to approach but they doesn't follow up on work. No recognition/acknowledgement of good work so far. Managers communication with the team is extremely poor and lacking.

Some are great, some are average, yet Some are very poor and shouldn't be managers because they literally induce anxiety in their workers and simply don't understand reasonable working hours, how much a graduate can reasonable complete in an allocated amount of time.

Overall, the management is positive throughout my graduate program. As I mentioned earlier, the metallurgy team sometimes have gaps in experience with the operations crews, therefore sometimes it is difficult to get the appropriate support for my operations experience from my mentors. I believe my mentor's heart is in the right place, however, they are also new to the management role which does have some drawbacks. However, when I do seek support, it is always given to their best ability.

Yes. Manager is approachable regarding any questions or queries. Been provided good advice and support when things get challenging. A lot of freedom to make decisions yourself and learn from them. Got positive feedback for performance review and what areas to improve on.

Everyone I have interacted with in management positions are approachable. They ask us to speak up if things aren't right and provide a good environment for people to feel comfortable in doing so. Performance feedback is encouraging, and training is very accessible.
