Pros & Cons
The teams I have worked with across both sites have been a joy to work with and have provided amazing support both socially and professionally.
Lots of different projects to work on... Lots of training (soft skills training) as part of the graduate program through AIM.
There is a strong sense of teamwork and comradery when working and keeping the place operating.
Fully paid private health insurance for you and your immediate family... a very high level of cover.
The renewable project at Tropicana is something I love and value about AGAA.
Lean workforce making it difficult to follow graduate rotations.
Many aspects of my job feel like just being given the 'busy tasks' or jobs nobody else would want to do.
Unstructured nature of the graduate program and being constantly short-staffed.
The ability to climb the ranks seems to depend on the vacancies that open up... not many opportunities to progress.
Minimal support and lack of guidance from the mentor/supervisor.

Promotion is possible, but career progression to move elsewhere could be difficult as the skills you learn are not that diverse.

Lots of different background people. Supportive of women, ethnic minorities, and LGBTIQA+ people but not a lot of them working here.

Good location on St. Georges Terrace, close to a lot of public transport... proper coffee machines and snacks.

I liked the person-to-person interview... Given I was previously a vacation student, the pathway to the graduate program was straightforward.

Pay is okay, it varies a lot between roles. There is better out there, but there is probably also worse.
