Almost every swing has had multiple days where it seems we are fighting to escape the office on time because a senior will request changes and plans at ridiculous times just before you're trying to leave instead of approaching you 1-2 hours earlier. This is shockingly consistent and incredibly annoying. The company is not flexible with hours at all.

Working on-site my hours are fairly rigid. The bus leaves for admin around (5am for operators) and 5:10am for the big bus. It will return to the village around 5:25pm (sometimes later for operators). This sometimes results in a shift being and feeling longer than 12 hours (especially in winter!) but is mostly insignificant to me. The long hours are mostly offset by the flexible breaks available. As long as work is adequately completed (and the plant isn't burning down), it is mostly ok to take a slightly longer lunch or knock off slightly early. There are some who still reserve the "old-school" opinion of quantity over quality of work and frown upon flexible breaks. However, they are few and far in-between.

If working in the Perth Office you have to be in 4 days a week, 1 day a week WFH. Working in the office is often beneficial as it can be much easier to speak to people directly and get to know them, but the one day a home is also nice as it allows you to focus on task without distractions. Start and finish times are flexible.

12-hour days on-site. There is always something happening on site and funnily enough, time feels short. Sometimes, 12-hour days are not enough.
