Corporate Social Responsibility at AustralianSuper

We invest in some amounts of non-renewables which is probably not the greatest thing in terms of CSR, however we also have commitments to many other CSR friendly investments and initiatives.

The Fund has a CSR team who have recently provided an update on work they did in remote communities with Indigenous Australians. The work sounded extremely impactful, helping those in the community with issues arising from circumstance. For example, helping people access unclaimed death benefit monies that went unclaimed due to a lack of technology access in the area.

I have heard a lot about our companies CSR projects as last year I rotated through the team that works on these. I was able to assist with some planning work for some initiatives too. I think we can still be doing more though, and the company is supporting the growth of these initiatives.
