Diversity at AustralianSuper

8.4
8.4 rating for Diversity, based on 11 reviews
Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
It is promising that there is an emphasis on women in leadership and women on the board. However, I have observed that many of the technical leadership roles such as Chief Investments, Chief Financial, Chief Risk and Chief Operating Officer/s are occupied by men. So while there is a commitment to promoting women, it would be more encouraging to promote women in leadership within those technical areas that have historically been occupied by men. There are some great volunteer groups for diversity.

Our workforce is very diverse, as I frequently meet people with all different kinds of experience, races, gender etc. There are lots of female representation in the senior leadership ranks.

There are many internal community groups run with a focus on diversity and inclusion. The group for LGBTIQA+ is quite a standout. The Fund also runs a diversity, equity and inclusion program. I'm not across any issues that might arise in recruitment or retention.

There seems to be a push through the company to make sure no minority is underrepresented. Recently paid super has also been added to parental leave entitlements.
