Almost nil TECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL training

The development sessions are fine but not a good use of time. They could easily be an online course taken at our own pace. The only positive from the development sessions is being able to spend time with the other graduates. It would be better if instead of those sessions we could do an activity with the grads. Unfortunately, there aren't any other graduate sessions outside of the development sessions as everything has to be "in the member's best interest". Other training for the work itself is usually self paced. The company has linkedin learning which is how I have done some training. Most of the time it is just doing a task and working out how to use a tool and asking colleagues/managers for help.

Some of the mandatory professional development for graduates aren't very useful, but I have found some of them to be very useful. Outside of the mandatory sessions, I have engaged myself in hard skills training within my rotation teams, such as Qualtrics L1 Base Camp Foundations Accreditation.

The majority of the 'training' has been my on the job learning experiences. Either learning through osmosis or just through time at the Fund. We have been provided structured development sessions for soft-skills, though not sure that these have delivered as much in the skills department as has been desired.

There is a bunch of 'develoment' sessions that are provided, however these are all soft skills that most of us have developed prior to this program, some are useful however some more technical skills would be much more useful in the program and in a sense, I feel the development sessions are sometimes a waste of time

I have completed several different types of development training while in the graduate program: - I have completed development sessions with the rest of the graduate cohort - these range in soft skill topics but have not been delivered as well as they could have. - I have completed soft skills LinkedIn courses - as encouraged by a few of my managers. These have varied in topic but have helped to build my knowledge and skills well. - I have completed some technical training as part of my rotations through the technology and data business areas - These have been more specific in tools the company uses and have improved my knowledge greatly of the technology environment at AustralianSuper.
