How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
The hours are expected in my role and I am happy with them. I am also part of an on-call roster
Graduate, Tauranga - 06 Sep 2024
As the nature of my role is customer support (onsite) the hours are expected. I am happy with the hours as they are.
Graduate, Tauranga - 18 Jul 2024
I have full flexibility to work from home as well as office.
Graduate, Adelaide - 11 Jul 2024
I used to spend 2 days in the office and 3 at home, but it has now turned into 1/2 day at the office and the rest at home as my team wasn't coming in and I wasn't enjoying the office.
Graduate, Christchurch - 02 Jul 2024
Need to be in the office between 9 and 4ish, Can start a little earlier and finish earlier within reason
Graduate, Wellington - 01 Jul 2024
This is largely within my control which I cannot complain about at all. There are situations where I must come into the office but largely I feel in control, and with that comes responsibility to liaise with my manager should it be more appropriate for me to be in the office more in a given week.
Associate, Perth - 28 Jun 2024
I wont 7.5 hours a day, sometimes needing to work after hours to complete work for customers.
Graduate, Sydney - 28 Jun 2024
Not sure as we are required to work normal business hours but work from home options give you MAXIMUM flexibility to work with my teams agenda
Graduate, Auckland - 08 Feb 2024
I work part time. I don't know how flexible Datacom is with work hours.
Graduate, Christchurch - 09 Nov 2023
Very flexible, Usually in the office for up to 3 days a week.
Graduate, Wellington - 07 Nov 2023
I work on average 2-days per week from the office however, depending on project requirements I may be in the office full time. The company is flexible with respect to how many hours are worked and where they are worked from however, we have a reasonably firm start and finish times.
Graduate, Auckland - 06 Nov 2023
Very flexible. There are people who start at 7 and end at 2/3, and people who start at 10 and end at 6. As long as everyone attends their meetings and communicates well, I believe we are free to choose our own hours.
Graduate, Auckland - 06 Nov 2023
Very flexible on days/hours of work (within reason). Can take unpaid leave whenever you want, with minimal notice. This has some consequences for predictability/reliability though and means projects get blocked/prolonged
Graduate, Christchurch - 08 Oct 2023
Nice and flexible i like work in office
Graduate, Auckland - 04 Oct 2023
Really flexible. Everyone in my team decides their own hours and we just make sure we have enough cross over to work together.
Graduate, Christchurch - 04 Oct 2023
Yes, I work 37.5 hours a week. I typically start around 8:30 and finish around 5pm, but this is flexible. I have only had to do a few hours overtime, but I am told to take back the time by finishing early the next day.
