Corporate Social Responsibility at Policy Futures Graduate Program (Queensland Government)

Queensland Government is all about positive social impact.

Every major holiday (Easter, Mothers/Fathers Day, Christmas) the company does fundraisers and donation boxes for a certain charity.

Wellbeing of the employees is paramount

The department are committed to work on any First Nations in enabling a better initiatives and outcomes

Every person in my team was motivated by wanting to do good, and seemed to genuinely want to improve the conditions of Queensland workers.

Lots of mental health, wellbeing and social initiatives are made available to graduates.

As a program that works a lot with social policy, the program seems in tune with CSR.

It's government, so really, it's in everything they do/don't do

Cultural capability training and awareness of culturally significant dates

It is a Government entity so this is hard to qualify - the majority of the work I do is based on social issues, not making a profit. Outside of work there is a lot of support for diversity causes.

For International Women's week, there were different events that I attended and it was insightful and interesting.

I work for the public service, every aspect of our job is responsible to the public and must have the public's best interest at its core.
