I see evidence of the user-driven sustainability opportunities. Unsure as to whether or not it is in line with current standards

There is still quite a lot of printing that gets done in the department, particularly around certain events such as Estimates. However the laptops being constantly plugged-in is probably not any better. I am not quite sure on the exact environmental impact of the building.

Apart from some signs on the walls re: recycling, there isn't much effort towards saving paper for example

I don't imagine there is much of an environmental impact from the program, very little physical material is produced, and meetings are in person or online.

Being paper-free is encouraged where possible, and recycling facilities are abundant and well-used. Lights are on timers.

I have not seen much push on this matter except the different type of bins. Printing papers are still frequent, and lights are always on.
Graduate, Brisbane - 08 Jul 2024
There are multiple bins around the office that are for recycling or organic waste.

The Department discourages paper printing where ever possible, and there is comprehensive recycling and waste management practices in the kitchens. Kitchen waste is broken down into organics, refundable containers, general recycling, and non-recyclable/compostable waste. The building has also been designed to reduce lighting requirements, and lights are turned off after business hours.

Different bins for recycling and general waste. Some posters about reducing water use in the bathroom.
Graduate, Brisbane - 04 Apr 2022
There are recycling bins in every office and an encouragement not to print if not necessary.

Support for bike/walk travel, recycling. Aside from this not sure.
