How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
There is great flexibility with working extra hours as required and taking that time off on later days.

Flexible start and finish times, and the accrued time system is great, which allows you to take time off another day for any hours worked overtime.

My team is very flexible allowing work from home arrangements and flexibility with hours to fit around appointments etc. when necessary, it makes balancing work and other commitments a lot easier and is very helpful.

Very flexible start and finish hours and working from home options. however, a lot of the day is not productive in the office.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Jul 2024
CCC is extremely flexible, work times can vary with any start time between 7-10am, if people need to leave during the day to attend appointments etc that is fine. My team also had no problem with me gaining or using ATL whenever I wanted (although I would give notice of a week-2 weeks before using ATL if it was a significant amount)

The department is very flexible in my work hours as I work three days in the office and two days in a distributed work centre which save me the travel and closer to home.

Very flexible. I am able to work from home 50/50, can have flexible hours between 6am and 6pm as long as I meet a general amount over the fortnight of required hours then my employer is happy whenever I have appointments ad hoc etc.

Flexibility varies depending on the department you are placed in; this is where it can be a sort of lottery on your work life balance. I have had an amazing experience, with 50/50 work from home arrangements from day one of my placement, thanks to the agency I was placed in. Other graduates have gone 6 months with one day here or there from home or not at all.

The standard working hours of 7 hrs 15 mins are very reasonable, and I've never felt pressure to work beyond those hours even when I've offered to. Any hours you work over and above can be accrued and taken as flex. While this does vary team to team, my team are incredibly flexible. I work longer days and a 9 day fortnight, as does most of my team. Start and finish times are completely flexible, with some people choosing to work 7-3 while others work 10-6. Work from home is equally flexible, with most people working 2-3 days a week from home. The team are very accommodating of using flex time for appointments etc, I've never felt tension around working flexibly.
Graduate, Brisbane - 08 Jul 2024
My team is really flexible with start/finish times. 3 days office/2 days work from home
Graduate, Brisbane - 08 Jul 2024
I am expected to work 72 hours and 30 mins fortnightly. I start/finish work early or late depending on the outside work commitments. As long as I am doing my hours, my team is pretty flexible. If I am working longer hours, I can later take it as accrued leave. On the other hand, if I have errands to run (e.g. personal appointments), then I can make up the hours later. I complete timesheet purely for my own records, but the managers do not require it to be filled.
