Please comment on your role and day-to-day responsibilities.
I am currently focussing on learning the production lines, and starting three projects for the business (to do with waste, implementing a system and quality).

Great responsibilities that have the right level of challenge and support to grow

I own a territory and am an account manager for all independent bottle shops, bars, and restaurants in that area (Sydney Northern Beaches). There is a lot of selling, contract negotiation, relationship management, and admin in this role.

Designing 'small' fixes for line optimisation, learning about packaging engineering and floating around on the floor speaking to the operators about how to help things to run more smoothly.

The way the program has been set up leaves a lot of room for you as the Intern to set your time up the way you best want to spend it. As such there aren't any set "day-to-day responsibilities", this has been both great and not so great. The good thing about this is that you get the chance to focus on areas of interest to you, the downside of this is that you are always having to approach people for work on a regular basis. In my case a lot of the work I got to participate in was very heavily based around data analysis and process improvement. This has been a real good opportunity to see a side of the business not otherwise seen as a lot of the work I got to take part in was providing analytical support to managers as they made critical decisions surrounding the direction of the company.
