8.0 rating for Recruitment, based on 6 reviews
Please describe the interview process and assessments.
It was intense, and nerve racking having to do a whole day assessment centre. But, the people were supportive and hearing from prior grads at the open night and asking questions was great, and I was set up for success.

Quite challenging - a range of online quiz's, online interviews, online test and an all day workshop with the final graduates

For the graduate program there were several stages. Initially there is the standard CV and personal essay. Then you move to a video recorded q&a online. Finally you have an assessment centre with other finalists where you were given mock scenarios and you had to work collaboratively to come up with solutions.

Submission of a resume, short video responses in the form of an interview and then final zoom interview. A medical check had to be completed before I was hired for safety reasons, as I work on and around the manufacturing floor.
Intern, Sydney - 21 Apr 2022
After submitting the application form, there was an online interview that needed to be completed which was followed by a "face-to-face interview" on zoom. The last stage were the reference checks after which offers were sent out .

What questions were you asked in your interviews?
There were scenario questions, and I think there were more personal experience questions.

It was less about what I knew and more about how would I handle certain situations and people. I really value that Diageo believes we can be taught anything we need and that we should really just hire based on the ability to problem solve, collaborate, and give/take on constructive feedback in high pressure environments.

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
Be confident, yourself and honest!
Graduate, Sydney - 29 Aug 2024
Don't shout just so you're the loudest in the room. Be a leader/facilitator and be the person that makes sure everyone at the table is being heard. Those are the qualities we look for in candidates.
Graduate, Sydney - 21 Apr 2022
Do some research on who Diageo are, a lot of us know a lot of their fantastic brands but we don't know the company behind the brands. What are some of the awards they've received, what are some initiatives in place or what is the history of the company? Make sure you're across the vision set out by the CEO, as this is what drives a lot of the work done within the company!
Intern, Huntingwood - 04 Apr 2022
Be yourself and show the interviews that you're willing to be a part of a community and have the drive to work hard and are willing to learn
