Day to day of a cyber graduate differs from team to team. Threat and Vulnerability Management - Digest bulletins to determine if certain published vulnerabilities could potential impact Essential Energy - Create assessments and send it to relevant stakeholders to ensure the affected assets are patched - Research the current threat landscape relating to Essential Energy and the Industry for weekly threat briefing - Monitor channels for exposed credentials and carry out appropriate actions to ensure it doesn't become a threat vector for criminals - Ad-hoc tasks relating to the team Security Operations - Triage alerts relating to unusual user behaviour - Triage alerts reported by employees as potentially malicious - Utilise existing toolset to conduct investigations into whether or not an alert is a threat to Essential Energy

As a finance graduate, I am provided with the opportunity to rotate across multiple teams within Finance. I have been fortunate enough to be able to deliver on projects to improve and automate financial business processes.

Currently I am assisting in the sourcing lead role in procurement. Daily tasks include: -Engaging with the business to create negotiations. -Creating and managing sourcing requests while ensuring compliance with procurement policies. -Communicating with suppliers. -Overseeing contract execution. -Evaluating supplier proposals and conducting negotiations. -Collaborating with the procurement team to align procurement activities with organisational goals. -Analysing procurement data and preparing reports to identify pitfalls and opportunities. -Ensuring compliance with regulations and managing procurement risks.

Writing reports for basic tasks to be complete. Learning about AWS, Azure and Oracle. Practising making servers on Azure, analysing Integration logs etc. Learning about our custom apps and how we work together as a culture at EE.

My role consists of undertaking various supporting tasks for our organisation's cyber security operations centre (CSOC) and helping manage their cyber security governance, risk and compliance (GRC). I don't really have set day-to-day responsibilities, much of what I do each do will vary.

At this early stage, I do not have many responsibilities. I expect this to change in the coming months.

The role and responsibilities change with each graduate rotation. If you know which team you're interested in, you can organise future rotations for yourself. In my past 3 rotations, all managers have asked what type of projects and experience I'm looking and have taken my comments on board in organising workload.
