What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Cost of living does make it hard to comment on this, more is always better but I believe we're at least competitive with the rest of the market.
Graduate, Sydney - 13 Sep 2024
Although the pay for my role was acceptable for me at the time I do no think it is fair that the engineering graduates receive 10kplus more per year. I think the pay should be reflective of the role in terms of industry and the education required. For example, in a legal role many graduate roles in Sydney etc are 10k+ more than what I receive. The time and effort it takes to complete certain degrees and then the postgraduate qualifications you need to become admitted (for example) should be recognised. I don't necessarily think it is fair that certain roles are all lumped under an "Admin" bracket when certain degrees/ qualifications are considerably more difficult to obtain.

My current pay is being revised and that is reassuring as it isn't competitive due to the length of the graduate program. However, the pay rate of the company in general is generous -assuming the new agreement terms will be implemented. I haven't received any bonuses or heard about them being offered.
