Engineer Australia Graduate development program where we attend workshops to learn about the "soft skills' needed for a professional. You may think you know everything but these workshops explore the skills at a deeper level and provide relevant industry examples. LinkedIn Learning and other online content platforms for self paced learning. Handover meetings to get you up to speed with what technology is being used and gives you the chance to ask all the questions you'll need. - If your team works with vendors, they might have their own educational content you could get access to and learn directly from them

I think we should have more technological/ industry/ electrical focused training to help wrap your head around what the business does. Office based roles have to interact with many areas of the business and sometimes people assume you have this knowledge.

As a graduate, you are required to complete the Engineers Australia graduate program which is quite comprehensive and helps you transition into the workplace. You also learn through peers, LinkedIn Learning and an online campus. There are multiple training and development opportunities so that's great.

I've received extensive on-the-job training, complemented by various learning modules and opportunities for self-research. My manager has also provided me with an onboarding pack, filled with useful links and suggested learning areas to help me get up to speed quickly.

Training is great! We have subscriptions to well known IT training websites like Pluralsite, Microsoft etc. This helps with training and development as a graduate systems Administrator.

Most of the training has been on the job/informal and has been related to how to complete the various tasks associated with my job role. Additionally, the company will pay for you to participate in various training courses and certifications that relate to your job role.

Receive free training courses and a select few that are paid for by the business, could definitely use a lot more for specific tools and processes that are expected to understand
