I undertake various roles, from accepting tenders, moving them onto Linfox systems, balancing out fleet management with the supplier and Linfox requirements, operations tasks varying from helping drivers with load sheets, toolbox talks, safety checks and inspection, daily driver log book inspection.

Tracking costs and revenue, invoicing customers, reporting daily, weekly, and monthly stats both internally and externally. Pricing new work within the transport space. Tracking trailer hire and de-hire status.

Review KPIs, analyse rate cards and contract asset registers, also time and motion data.

I cycled through outbound and inventory whilst at this site, my day-to-day responsibilities ranged depending on which section I was in but included interacting and communicating with customers and the team, reducing the amount of dispute stock within our inventory, solving system issues that held up GI's, End of Day reporting and emails and working through returned stock. This range of responsibilities and tasks kept me busy and provided me a good understanding of the warehouse and how it operates, whilst offering vast learning opportunities to aid in my development

As a graduate my day-to-day responsibilities are constantly changing depending on which department I am working with. Some of the responsibilities I have taken on include, planning rail and road loads, allocating jobs to drivers and stock takes. All the jobs are complex and challenging in their own right, but can be learnt with the assistance of the work team.

As of now, working with the fit 2 pay team to ensure all paperwork is returned by subcontractors so completed loads can be paid.

I have been given my own task and project which allows me to have greater responsibility and opportunity to learn new things. I work from home one day, working on site one day, then three days in the office.

My current role involves floating around all operations within the DC and gaining experience whilst achieving a understanding of how all ties together.

I'm currently on a plan to flow through all operations and office roles for two weeks at a time to get a understanding of all that goes into operating the DC.

Some days I can be very happy with my work, but other days admin duties can be quite frustrating

Compliance Management, Safety adherence and management, process development and implementation.

Day to day roles and responsibilities include overseeing delivery completion by examining driver's delivery paperwork, as well as observing and documenting any discrepancies. I am also involved in rostering and optimising shifts for efficiency for our people and performance. I also spend a strong portion of my day working on ongoing projects, some of which I lead. I also assist in compliance and safety.

Looking after invoicing, reconciliations, and a variety of projects

The Linfox grad program allows you to take on large amounts of responsibility and to create significant impact within the site at which you are based. The responsibilities of graduates will vary depending on which site they are based, however the company encourages the sites to allow graduates to challenge themselves and improve.

I prepare profit & loss statements for the site, liaise with upper management and on-site managers, help the team on the ground operationally where I can, I analyse data and put together customer KPIs

I am working within the safety team usually taking part in tasks such as: - Document creation and maintenance - Developing safety initiatives - Meeting Agendas

Currently rotating around different business units. No real tasks, just learning from other managers
