Application Process & Interviews at Linfox ANZ

Awesome experience, the streamlined process from initial application, to the question and video interview, all the way to the final interview was very easy. I also had an amazing interviewer, which made me feel very comfortable, enabling me to perform my best during the interview. This was one of the reasons why I chose Linfox because of the hiring process. Psychometric testing is flawed, you lose too many good people because of flawed data collection, I am thankful Linfox does not force its candidates to undertake those types of testing. The initial questions asked are a form of psychometric testing, however they are more reasonable based on the scenario.

Standard interviews and review processes.

Great interview, felt comfortable.

Multi-leveled, the interview process whilst longer than some was fairly straight forward. The interviewing team made it as relaxing and enjoyable as possible despite that fact no one enjoys jobs interviews.

I completed one-way interviews, online assessments and an in-person interview. Everything was smooth, easy to understand, and the in-person interview was pleasant and insightful.

Remote interview with HR and an individual that has gone through the graduate program. Followed by several tests that examine personality, decision making, and general knowledge.

I applied in late April and found out I had the job by mid July. There was a one-way interview than interview in person.

It was well put together, started with a knowledge test, then online one way interviews, then in person interview

I had to get past 2-3 rounds of interviews from my memory, this showed me that Linfox was a serious company and wanted the most out of their employees which I valued.

Extensive application process, involving interviews, psychometric testing and then health testing.

The interview process included recorded answer questions, psychometric testing and face-to-face interviews (or MS teams for remote candidates)

Went through a vigorous process that tested my knowledge and ability to sell myself to the company. I felt comfortable in the interview process

The interview process for the graduate program included one on one interviews with the emerging careers coordinator, followed by interviews with additional prospective site managers looking to take on a graduate.

Online application, Personality Questionnaire, Online Interview.

Video interview (pre-recorded videos), Psychometric testing, First round interview with HR, Workplace site tour, Second round interview with HR and managers and then job offers.

There was about 4 interviews, a one way interview and 2 or 3 face to face interviews (these were conducted virtually due to covid). The assessment process had us completing a pyschometric evaluation of about 200 questions.

Why I wanted to work for Linfox, what I expected to get out of it, what I was bringing to the company, where I saw myself in 5 years.

Strengths and weaknesses, approach to certain scenarios, interests. Can't remember much else.

Previous experience, further studies, the willingness to learn and travel etc.

Why I wanted to join Linfox. Why I studied / are interested in logistics. What areas of logistics am I most interested in? Where do I see myself in the future. What do I hope to achieve from the program.

What are the company values? Scenario questions, primarily based around addressing conflict and safety in the workplace.

What is something you were most proud of? What is one of your biggest weaknesses?

Why do you want to work for Linfox? What about our graduate program attracted you to apply? What other companies are you looking at working for? Some questions were behavioral related to how you would resolve situations. For example if there was an argument between two team members how would you resolve this?

About who I am, where I see myself in the future, how I deal with conflict etc.

I was asked questions about my educational background, strengths, weaknesses, background in work, pay I was after and other things such as hobbies.

Personal skills and strengths, interest in logistics/transport industry, personal understanding of the brand prior to starting.

I was primarily asked scenario based questions which placed the candidate in the position of an operations supervisor/manager and then work out or resolve an issue that you would be likely to face in that position. This allowed the candidate to illustrate their problem solving skills to the organisation.

What are my strengths? How to handle a heavy workload? What past experiences and skills I can bring to the job?

Questions were asked regarding my experience within the industry, what I had studied, but mostly regarding why I wanted to work at Linfox, and my career goals.

Finance related questions- what do you need to consider during a tender process, what do you see as challenges in the logistics company

First round - They were general and focused on the candidate. Second round - They were focused on the workplace and how you would apply your skills.

Research the company, as well as spend time talking to people at Linfox, get to know them see what their history is and why they chose Linfox - it provides great insight. Also have a passion for the industry you are working for, this helps you to continue your drive to progress further in your career.

No specific tips - give some thought to the questions an interviewer might ask but at the end of the day it's guess work and you'll answer how you answer in the interview. Be genuine.

Show the willingness to grow and work with the company.

my best advice for potential graduates looking to join the business is to research the company, find out what we do here and think about what you like and what you can see developing within the industry and talk to that

Think about what you want to achieve / learn during the graduate program. Be prepared to take in a lot of information about logistics. Always keep an open mind.

Keep an open mind, don't place any expectations. Take every experience for the first time and focus more on the learning curve. Be patient with the process.

Research the company and really figure out why you would like to work for Linfox and explore their values.

Look at the business's social media accounts, ask the interviewer about something you saw (shows you are interested). When answering questions relate them back to the business values.

Research the company prior to understand why you're interested in working for them Ensure your resume is in line with their requirements for the specific role your applying for to ensure you are a likely candidate Ensure you are aware of the companies values and how they apply to you Be able to elaborate on if your selected how you can positively contribute to the company for future years ahead

Just be yourself as they embrace diversity

I would recommend being prepared in terms of what you want out of this job. For example, some graduates start very early and finish early. You have to think about weather this suits your lifestyle. Have a look into the background of Linfox because the history of the company is valued and respected here.

Develop an understanding of the logistics, transport and supply chain industry to ensure you will be interested in the work required. Develop an understanding of the company and what it stands for.

Research the company. As a private company, we are proud of the work we do and the people who make it happen, gaining a greater understanding of the company would be a great starting point for any prospective candidate. Then I would recommend researching the issues or key talking points that are going on within the industry to ground yourself with the day-to-day challenges of the company. You could then take this a step closer by thinking of responses/opportunities that can come out of these challenges to demonstrate your higher level thinking. Lastly, I think it would be beneficial to do whatever you can to have a compelling story to show any prospective employer. Whether this be through building your experience in similar environments or taking on extra opportunities whilst you are studying, work ethic and initiative do not go unnoticed .

Understand the role and company you are applying for. Try be as relaxed as normal

I would recommend that in order to best prepare for an interview at Linfox, candidates should set aside time to reflect on their previous experience, as well as to form a clear idea of their career goals, and their reasons for applying for the role.

Research the company and the field you are applying in

Be yourself, and make note of the values of the company.

Make sure you do your research on the company and be aware of where you want to end up, although this may be difficult. The best piece of advice would be to be honest and genuine.
