Most of us reach for a bottle of milk or cream from the fridge, shampoo in the bathroom or paint in the garage without thinking about how they arrived in our homes.
At McColl’s, the ‘how’ is our reason for being. We have been delivering the raw materials that go into your household products for over 70 years.
McColl’s Transport is Australia’s largest independent bulk liquid carrier of milk, food and bulk chemicals, with the country’s most modern and specialised food grade and chemical tanker trucks spread over 23 depots.
We have a reputation for reliable service, world class compliance and stringent safety standards, and the expertise to ensure customers’ products are transported safely and efficiently anywhere in Australia – that’s why most of the nation’s biggest producers trust their products with us.
McColl’s Transport was established in 1952 as a family-run operation with a single vehicle transporting milk around Geelong, Victoria. More than seven decades later, McColl’s is the country’s largest independent carrier of dairy, food and consumer and industrial chemicals.
With operations in every mainland state and a fleet of more than 263 prime movers and 770 tankers, we have the ready capability, size, reach and experience to meet all our customers’ needs. McColl’s will not compromise on safety, quality, compliance and maintenance.
At McColl’s, we value our employees and strive to provide a supportive workplace where people genuinely enjoy what they do. Some of the benefits you will enjoy at McColl’s include:
As part of our two year program, graduates rotate through each of our four operating units every six months:
Each graduate has an experienced mentor in their current division to guide their learning and experience. Part of the rotation is some on-the-ground work experience in the division, spending time with drivers, customers, mechanics or suppliers.
This part of the graduates’ journey concentrates on learning and practicing more general business skills:
This element of the program helps graduates to be confident in professional environments, interacting with a wide group of people around the organisation. It also helps graduates to learn to process unstructured information, draw meaning from it and present their findings in a structured, persuasive way.
