9.4 rating for Culture, based on 16 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
The marketing teams' culture is second to none. Everyone there wants you to succeed, there have been a few events after hours where we can really get to know each other out of the work environment

RAA has great work culture. Within the marketing department, everyone is super friendly, and willing to help us Graduates learn by getting us involved in their tasks. This sentiment is echoed throughout the business more generally as well. Everyone is approachable and willing to share knowledge and ideas regardless of hierarchy, which is really nice too.

The culture is great, RAA and the graduate program are pretty flexible in terms of allowing days to work from home, and starting/finishing times can be negotiated with the manager. The structure is straightforward and depending on the team, communication can be open. There are several opportunities to socialise with colleagues, although there are less opportunities to socialise with colleagues in departments different to yours.

RAA really priorities cooperation and teamwork, as our key value is "we deliver together". From the beginning, I felt like I could ask any team member regardless of their role and be able to get help from them. Everyone is extremely welcoming and wants you to do your best, so they are always open to providing feedback and support. By working in different rotations, you are able to develop workplace relationships with people from different areas of the business that you may not normally work with if you were to stay in one rotation for the duration of the graduate program.

The cooperation is great. You get lots of help and ease you into work from being a university student to graduate. The structure is good where you can still reach top executives.

The graduate cohort is one of the best I have ever worked amongst. From before I had my first day, we had a buddy assigned who made us feel welcome and help us settle in. Then I have a mentor which I can go to for questions at any time. Every team and my graduate manager (Nicky) are beyond supportive, kind and friendly.

The culture is great here, all staff are welcoming and happy to help. I attended the Christmas event which was great social event and the Digital Day where information services team spoke about the roadmap for the near future and how they been progressing towards certain goals, this event was at the Adelaide Oval.

Very supportive and friendly office culture. Very inclusive socially as well. RAA offers a number of after hours social events for employees that foster better relationships.

Very friendly and welcoming. There is lots of opportunity for socialising with a "social club" and multiple work events after hours.

company culture is wonderful. I felt valued as an employee and human being. Even before starting my internship, I was sent handwritten notes along with a welcome pack which I did not expect. Even automatically getting a membership with RAA as an intern was a pleasant surprise.

There is a clear structure of how everyone works together and for one another but never has it felt like one person is better than another. As an Intern, I feel comfortable in talking to executive of Marketing or even CEO, Nick Reade as they have all made an effort into getting to know me and my interest as well as sharing their own. Colleagues regularly catch up with one another like after hours, I have caught up with other interns. I've also loved interacting with my manager (we are Facebook friends). Never have I felt scared in letting any one in the office know my true self.

The work culture in my department is great. No one is expected to work over their hours, and time in lieu is expected to be taken if they do. Our manager promotes collaboration and is supportive, and encourages us to think of ourselves as more than "just grads" by pushing us to question and challenge and think outside the box. The company, as a whole, has good culture. It has been changing over the past 12 months due to change in leadership, but I think they're working to maintain the good culture that RAA has been known for.

In the office, there is a clearly defined and easily accessible organisation chart so you can see the structure and members of each team. However, at least in the teams I have been in, the senior leaders sit with the rest of the team and very approachable. Everyone is very friendly and willing to answer questions, I think the most repeated phrase I heard in my first week was "let me know if you have any questions", which everyone said at least once! The teams interact with each other a lot, as well as other teams in the business, and so are very friendly with each other - often eating lunch together and happily attending social events together. RAA has a social club that organise events outside of work, but the data teams have also organised some of their own such as go-kart racing, bowling, games afternoons, quiz nights and pub crawls, as well as occasionally going to the pub for lunch on a Friday. The graduates are also quite a close group, as there are 6 grads in each year, and you attend a lot of workshops and experiences (sitting in call centres, driving out to different shop locations) together.

The company culture is pretty good particularly when going on rotation with different business units. There are plenty of opportunities for outside work activities.

The culture is great, everyone is very welcoming. My immediate team is a gem, especially the managers. They are always available to help and support. The senior manager is super involved with what we do and keeps us in the loop of what was happening (very different to what I had experienced in my past jobs). No micromanagement, they trust you to do your work. I have made some great friends here, and the culture extends to after hours as well through social catchups every now and then.
