Day-to-day activities are dependent on the rotations we are in at the time, but in most roles I am able to help the team with BAU activities, with lots of opportunities to own projects or tasks.
Graduate, Adelaide - 27 Jun 2024
Depends on the rotation, but I usually get given a big task that goes on for the duration of the rotation, then several other smaller tasks to handle simultaneously.

It does depend on the rotation you are currently in. For example, an average day-to-day responsibility for analytics is working on assigned tasks which involves gathering, cleaning, filtering then visualising the data to then analyse and interpret it to stakeholders. It is common to encounter unique challenges, but it is always rewarding to overcome them - making the job differ from day to day.

In each rotation we are given a set of learning outcomes set by the manager of the team. At the start of each rotation (team), we learn about each person's roll and function and background. Then I get given different tasks depending on what is going on.

My primary roles each day were to engage in discussions with people across the organisation to collect information and their expertise. Information was also collected from desktop research. These two sources of information were used in tandem to support the development and implementation of environment and social impact strategy and initiatives.

I had meaningful and "real" work during my internship that was actually used and implemented. I got a really good insight into what a day in the life would look like post university
Intern, Adelaide - 13 Feb 2024
My role is a Data Analyst working in the Automotive support department. During my first week I was given a project from my manager to create a dashboard on how to best optimize non member facing tasks. After completing that project I was given a couple more before the end of the internship. Each day seemed different as if I was working on each problem at a time that would eventually build a completed project. Additionally the summer interns and I were given an innovation project to work on revolved around sustainability in the home with RAA's members. Each week, we were allocated time to come together as a group and work on it. Outside of that allocated time, I spent sometime researching and doing work for it as well.
Intern, Adelaide - 12 Feb 2024
As the Summer Marketing Intern, sitting in the Brand & Sponsorships team. I initially sat in meeting with partners and meetings with other teams to learn about how RAA market themselves. After learning about procedures and engagement with others, I started taking on task. Some task entailed, competitor analysis how RAA can better ourselves to benefit the members? And other task included, working with the RAP specialist. I liked working with the RAP specialist as Aboriginal related issues are meaningful to me, so I loved that experience, and that RAA heard my interest and allowed me to expand on them.

The graduate program consists of rotations through different teams. At the start of each rotation, requirements are to understand what the team does and what roles are in it. Day-to-day is usually working on projects I've been given, solving problems for those projects or ad hoc tasks, reaching out to people to help solve the problems, as well as meeting with stakeholders to better understand how they want the solution to look.
Graduate, Adelaide - 20 Oct 2023
During the graduate program you complete a number of rotations, including through the five data teams, the innovation team, the project management team and a free choice rotation where you can work with any team across RAA! So, the day-to-day can change a lot, however, each fortnight I have a one-on-one meeting with my manager as well as a team meeting, and for the grad program we have monthly professional development courses.

As a graduate, the duties vary based on what department you're in during a rotation. The rotations involve mainly data related work like analysis, building models, solution designing, documentation, data engineering, data literacy module designing and research. There are also other shorter rotations like innovation, project management, and service delivery just to give you an idea of how the related business units work.
