Sustainability at RAA

There are multiple areas that RAA implement sustainability. In all kitchens and bathrooms there is a green option

RAA has a strong focus on sustainability and look at how they can minimise their impact in everything they do.

There is reusable cutlery for people to use and we are encouraged to separate our waste into the different bins. Whether or not the employees do this is another issue.

They take sustainability very seriously, they provide training that anyone can attend and learn more about how to become more sustainable at work and in your own personal life. They are aware modern slavery in terms of the products they are selling.

Building a business around these areas ie solar and EV

They have a sustainability team. This is integrated into our innovation project as well

Dedicated and passionate team around sustainability and environment who are making a difference in this space. They are on par or ahead of many other comparable companies. The commitment to environmental considerations are still being integrated across the business but I strongly believe the Environment Team will be able to make substantial progress in this space.

The innovation project that was given for the summer interns. Previous work done by the previous batch of interns and graduates can be seen being implemented as well.

There is a climate action plan among other plans I can't keep up with to make sure RAA is environmentally friendly. At the moment ponchos are being planned but they have to be sustainable.

RAA is working towards being a carbon neutral company. They worked with the SA government to set up electric car chargers from border to border, and have publicly talked about their electrification goals for both the company and SA. They invest in solar and have EV projects underway.

The company is always actively looking to improve and be more sustainable. Sustainability is a key consideration for any new initiative that is proposed.
