Challenge yourself, inspire others, make a difference – it all starts here. At RACV, we’re proud to be there for every Victorian. Whether it’s on the side of the road, on a trip down the coast or inside our stores, we’re in the community and a big part of their everyday. When you join the journey at RACV, you’ll find more than just a job. It’s your chance to be part of something bigger.

The Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) Ltd was founded in 1903 and is Victoria’s largest mutual organisation, employing about 3500 staff across more than 50 locations.

RACV is there for every one of its 2.1 million members providing roadside assistance, emergency home assistance, ten resorts and clubs across three states, travel discounts and benefits, insurance, finance, member benefits and more. In the community, RACV partners with a number of non-profit organisations annually in arts, environment, health and wellbeing, mobility and safety, and welfare. It provides financial support to each organisation to run specific programs that will benefit Victorians. RACV also provides numerous one-off grants for community projects throughout the state.

We champion diversity, work inclusively and believe every new voice brings brilliant new ideas. Ready to reach your full potential? Join our team, where the work is more meaningful and making a difference beyond the work matters.

Recruitment Process

1. Online application (cover letter and resume)

This is our chance to find out more about you. We’ll be taking into consideration your:

  • Resumé
  • Work, leadership and team experience
  • Cover letter where you outline
  • Extra-curricular activities / volunteer work
  • Academic results
  • Passion, enthusiasm and motivation

2. Video interview and online psychometric assessment

You’ll be notified via email if you have been selected to participate in this part of the process. This part of the process is completely online and should take about 30 minutes of your time. You will record yourself answering interview questions (about 10 minutes) and then complete the online verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning assessments.

3. Assessment Centre

On the day, you can expect:

  • An information session
  • Group activities
  • Case study
  • Opportunity to meet the Graduate Business Managers for your area of interest

4. Final panel interview

This is the final stage. You will undertake a behavioural-based interview with a leader in the team you're looking to join. This is also your opportunity to discover more about life at RACV and the people you could be working with.

5. Offer

We advise all applicants whether they are successful or not. If we do decide to progress you to this final stage, pre-employment checks and background screening are conducted by a member of the RACV team. If you haven’t heard from us, that means your application is still being considered.

Remuneration & Career Growth

Our graduates undertake an extensive development program across three rotations in different parts of our business.

This is matched with above market compensation, significant discounts across RACV's products and services as well as the opportunity to grow your career with one of Victoria's true household names.

What Graduates Say About Them
  • The people are absolutely amazing. I come to work excited to catch up with everyone.
  • There is so much opportunity to work across different teams in the business and broaden your career path, and you'll always be supported.
  • The positive close-knit workplace culture in the department and the modern office spaces.
  • Given a lot of responsibility to deliver projects & work independently. This combined with a supportive manager makes me feel that I am developing quickly.
  • The company is determined and serious about investing time and money into new graduates.
  • Some teams may be less mature but this also means you are given responsibility and opportunity from the get go that grads from other companies might not get.
  • I wouldn't say it's the worst thing but the technology is still a bit behind compared to other places – laptops are very slow and run into many issues (this is work and team dependent).
  • Department culture and ways of working can vary department to department.
  • Teams tend to prioritise tasks far in advance, so it can take a long time for turnarounds on requests/suggestions.
  • Whilst this responsibility is great for developing my professional self, sometimes it can be stressful.
