8.3
8.3 rating for Culture, based on 37 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Work offshore so least chances of socializing
Trainee, Perth - 21 Sep 2024
Quite flat structure where you can approach managers at different level and ask questions and expect to receive a straightforward answer. I haven't explored much of after hours activities as I'm quite preoccupied with my own family but I'd expect a reasonable social activity between colleagues. After all, everyone is friendly

People are respectful and lot of fun. We can stop the job if it is not safe. Management respect employee's privacy and time after hours. The collaboration is amazing, and we have a very strong team to support each other

the office has a respectful culture where you feel safe to voice your opinion. Its a very inclusive culture where all nationalities and events are celebrated. We have regular gatherings within the team for events and an end of year celebration where all employees come together from different locations in WA.

The company is great, and most of the time the people too. Some guys are still a bit old school, and when reported the managers can coach them into aligning with the company said values

Our company culture promotes open communication and teamwork with a flat hierarchy in the office, and we foster strong relationships through regular social events and informal gatherings after hours

They are very supportive, and some activities are organized, especially when a few people from the field are in town.

I would love to say that the company invested alot to train employees to make them feel value of what they are doing. Team work is great which everyone is involved in giving their opinion and suggestions.

Sometimes I feel like there is no sense of ownership in my location.

The intensity of the work is sometimes not understood by all and as a result people become too intense with deadlines and non-productive time. However, the respect that is seen when the work is completed is very rewarding.

Everyone in teams work with positive attitude which achieve me every day, and I always get positive encouragement and high emotional value from our great team! Also, people in our company respect to different culture. It's pretty nice to work with them!

There are different expectations with the amount of work to be done. Some people believe work is life and others work to have a life. Sometimes I witness conflict between those of opposing views.

Strong culture of safety. Very multicultural company.

Having worked in multiple locations, I would describe the culture as heavily location dependent. At my current location, I am somewhat disappointed with the lack of comradery, leadership is blurred and is difficult to establish oneself when new at this location due to a steep learning curve and at times lack of support. Graduates could benefit from mentors. Some co-workers seem reluctant to take on added responsibility. ie. Slb Blue Key, WPTW.

Office is sometimes difficult to get things achieved, but field work is great

It all depends on the location. I have worked in several locations in different countries, some colleagues are friendly and all about teamwork; however, others are competitive and not really the best in teamwork. Overall, it is a good culture at SLB.

From my experience , many seem to believe they are enslaved in terms of hours vs salary. Most have expressed they would leave to do the same job with another company if offered a better salary
