How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
No flexibility with 12 hours shift every day on the rig
Trainee, Perth - 21 Sep 2024
Company quite flexible in office hours. However, when we're on drilling site, the shift hours are dictated by the role and by industry standard (12hours) and it's not something we can control.

It is flexible for me to come and go, as long as I manage to deliver my tasks. I can arrange to work from home if need to. this help a lot since I have a family with young kids.

Building is locked after working hours. No one can enter without proper access. We can work from home as well if its needed.

My core hours are 38 hours however this can change depending on the demand. If I need to take time off that is never a problem. I also enjoy the flexibility of working from home a few days a week. This actually lets me get more work done but at the same time saving travel time.

I work in the field, so I expect the hours I have, and on my time off I am normally not bothered to go to the office.

Our work hours are generally standard, but the company offers significant flexibility, allowing employees to adjust their schedules as needed to accommodate personal commitments or preferences, within the framework of their role and team needs

I don't work in the office but as far as I know, they are very flexible and who works in the office can choose to work from home. For the field crew, I don't want to, and I should not work in my days off. So could be awesome if we could do our training during working time and not during our days off in this case for example, 2 weeks on the field and 1 week working at the workshop instead of 3 weeks on the field and 1 week working at the workshop and be sent to the field again with no time off.

I used to work 12 hours shift which I think is good hours set by company. There are also good breaks given for us to at least rest and continue again with our work.

I work offshore so 12 hours every day

It depends. The work hours will be longer if I work in the rig rather than in the base, but respectively, I will gain more off time, so I am happy with it. We have the best workforce coordinator, so we always get the reasonable work schedule.

The company is flexible with office hours and works around appointments and/or personal commitments.

Office hours are more often than not longer than on contract
Graduate, Perth - 26 Jun 2024
At the base/office, I work around 10-12 hours. In the field or offshore, I work around 12-14 hours. The company is more flexible with working hours at the base.

Seems not very flexible. Fatigue was stressed during training but mostly seems to not really.matter if you get a bit less sleep, only really matters if you get none.
Graduate, Moomba - 24 Oct 2023
my roster is 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off. I work 280 hours sometimes more if I'm on a Rig instead of 10 to 12 hours during the 4 weeks I'm on. My roster can be flexible if I'm required to go home for an emergency
Intern, Moomba - 19 Oct 2023
Company is flexible with work from home but every management has its own expectations and so the current management is strict with working hours and expects to work outside working hours.
