I am currently a graduate lawyer I work under an associate in my team and we work closely to attend to matters (Drafting advices, summarising evidentiary material, drafting LOI's and chasing material)

Provided great bandwith to complete my day to day responsiblities.

Drafting documents, preparing court documents, attending hearings and adr, proofing witnesses and engaging in professional development and business development activities

Legal research, drafting legal advices, drafting submissions, attending hearings and providing support in pre-litigation process.

My role as a law grad entails a variety of things. I mainly assist a small team based in Perth on any employment or safety matters that they are working on.

Drafting correspondence, legal documents such as affidavits, chronology etc, engaging in discovery.

I feel that I am given opportunities and work that would not be offered to junior team members at other firms.

Document review, meetings, negotiations, emails and admin.

My role is as a Graduate in the Comm Insurance, Specialty Lines team. I assist other solicitors with running litigation and regulatory proceedings, incl drafting legal documents, liaising with clients and regulators and considering case strategy.

Drafting advices, discussing matters with clients and helping with more administrative tasks

As a law graduate I feel it is an awkward stage in my career as sometimes I am treated like a lawyer and other days I am treated like a paralegal. My tasks therefore change drastically. It is simply the nature of the role.
