Spatial Vision was founded in 1999 to work alongside like-minded organizations and government departments to solve their spatial, social, and environmental challenges. We help organizations and government agencies overcome spatial, social, and environmental challenges in a range of ways. Our professional staff includes cartographers, solution architects, consultants, app/web designers, software developers, GIS analysts, data scientists and geeks, project managers, and visualization and quality assurance specialists.
No matter who you are or where you come from, you’re welcome here at Spatial Vision. We have staff that was born in seventeen different countries that speak over twenty languages. We respect and actively celebrate all cultures and religions – yours included.
There’s more to diversity than culture, however. Female representation in the spatial and IT sectors is only around 25%. We’re working on changing that, starting with more opportunities for women in STEM (see our Women In Geospatial Scholarship for example), as well as leadership.
We highly encourage women and people of all genders and cultural backgrounds to join us and bring their unique skills and experiences to the team.
If you’re a kind, clever person who wants to make a difference, this could be the place for you.
You might be a domain expert, who knows the ins and outs of an industry, or a keen business consultant with a passion for client service. Perhaps you’re more technically minded, and eager to get behind the tools – whatever your path, we’re here to help you succeed.
From day one, you’ll be met with kindness and care. You’ll join a safe environment where we look out for each other and recognize integrity, good work, and great ideas.
Come as you are and be welcomed

Spatial technologies are increasingly playing a key role in how we prepare for and minimize the consequences of climate change and extreme weather events.
Barwon Regional Partnership Councils (BRPCs) requested the support of Spatial Vision with building capacity in the application of spatial technologies to better plan for and understand the consequences of anticipated climate change and associated extreme weather events for their communities.
A series of spatial case studies were prepared that drew on the latest climate change projections prepared by CSIRO in 2019 under the Victorian Climate Projections Project. These case studies, which include the impacts of heatwaves, coastal erosion, inundation, overland flooding, wildfire risk, and landslips, were undertaken to assist and inform decisions concerning planning extreme weather and climate change-related events. The events presented range from broad strategic evaluations to local planning-related responses.
