In every part of our business, innovation drives us.
Whether it’s a new growing and post-harvest systems, exploring the world for new plant genetics, rolling out automation in our orchards and packhouses to increase productivity, piloting new technologies to reduce our environmental footprint, simplifying the way we work, or embracing new ways to engage with our stakeholders, it’s all about innovation.
We know we can do and deliver more together, which is why we work with our growers, customers, and partners to continually grow and evolve, and together have a positive impact through innovation.
At T&G, you do more than join a company. You grow healthier futures. Not only your future but everyone and everything around you – your whānau, community, and our natural environment.
This single purpose – to grow healthier futures – is what gets us out of bed every morning and why we do what we do.
How we make this happen is through our 2,000+ people. It takes a diverse range of great people, united by our energy, care, creativity, and drive, to grow, distribute and sell delicious fresh fruit and vegetables to Kiwis and consumers around the world. And with our incredible 124-year history, we’re passionate about growing an even stronger and better T&G for generations to come.

We want you to prioritize health, safety, and wellbeing as much as we do. To help you do this, we provide training, awareness, and support so everyone takes responsibility. Some of our initiatives include fatigue awareness training, a parental policy that supports all kinds of parents and families, and confidential counseling for you and everyone in your household.
We believe that work has to work for you. Everyone’s life is different, and how, when, and where you work makes a huge difference. We’ve created a culture that focuses on the outcomes you deliver, enabled by flexible hours, shifts, and locations.
Being yourself gives you the confidence to be bold, and it’s amazing what you can do when that happens. We welcome the whole of you – your background, thoughts, experiences, differences, and beliefs. Inclusion and diversity make us who we are, and that’s a team we’re incredibly proud to be part of.
We give back to our communities. They’ve shaped and supported us, and we’re helping shape and grow their future. We give you a day off a year to volunteer, and we’ll match your donations to our Fairgrow charity, so every dollar you donate makes a $2 impact in providing fresh produce to New Zealanders in need.
At T&G, Kaitiakitanga captures what sustainability means to us. It’s a Māori word that means guardianship and protection. This is central to who we are and what we do – treating the land, people, produce, resources, and community with the greatest of respect and care, as guardians of their future.
We’re proud of the contribution we’re making toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). We’ve chosen to align with 9 of their 17 goals.
