Griffith University offers potential students an admission pathway into the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) by sitting the Aptitude for Engineering Assessment (AEA) examination. The AEA examination is open to current Year 12 students, non-school leavers (mature age) and International applicants.

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Visual Arts, applicants must:

• hold a Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised University with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale)
• OR hold a Bachelor degree or a Graduate Certificate (or higher) in a cognate discipline from a recognised University with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale) - these students will be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing
• OR hold a Bachelor Honours degree or a Graduate Diploma (or higher) in a cognate discipline from a recognised University with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale) - these students will be eligible for 80 credit points of advanced standing
• OR have a combination of alternative admission criteria such as formal, informal and non-formal learning deemed to be equivalent to either of the above - these students may be eligible for 10 to 80 credit points of advanced standing
• AND provide a brief personal statement of 2-3 paragraphs outlining:
  1. Why you want to study a Master of Visual Arts and
  2. A description of the research and/or practical projects that you would like to undertake during the study with reference to the courses and topics in the program that attract your interest.

To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Laws (Honours), an applicant must have completed:

• a Bachelor degree (except a Bachelor of Laws) or higher providing it is equivalent to 1.5 years of full-time study from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum GPA of 4.0 on a 7-point scale (or equivalent) OR
• a law degree from a different legal system (i.e. it must be a Bachelor of Laws from a non-Australian tertiary institution).

To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Health Services Management, an applicant must hold:

• a bachelor degree in a health-related field (Public Health, Health Services Management, Allied Health, Environmental Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Midwifery, Nursing)
• OR a bachelor degree in an unrelated discipline (that is, a degree in a discipline other than medicine, nursing, public health, environmental health, allied health, psychology clinical health, research or biomedical health)
• OR a health-related diploma PLUS two years relevant work experience in the health or aged care sector
• OR have a minimum of five years equivalent full-time work experience in administration, management and leaderships roles within health care organisations and students would be expected to have career goals to work in health-related organisations.

Progression for students admitted to the Graduate Certificate Health Services Management to the Master of Health Services Management (5586) is dependent on achieving a minimum pass grade in all courses of the Graduate Certificate.

Applicants will need a completed Bachelor degree (or equivalent) that does not lead to teacher registration (with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale) with significant breadth of study to address the range of teaching areas expected by employers.

Applicants must also complete non-academic entry requirements to be eligible for this program.

The key learning areas include: The Arts; English; Health and Physical Education; Mathematics; Science; Humanities and Social Sciences and Technology. You can explore these key learning areas further on the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority website.

Note: Successful completion of the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) is not an entry requirement for this program. However, if you have achieved a 'satisfactory' result for one or more component of the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) at another institution, the 'satisfactory' result can be carried across with your program application. You are not eligible to apply for a place in the program if one or more component of LANTITE remains at 'unsatisfactory' after two test attempts for that component. Griffith University does not support reset of LANTITE test attempts.

To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Marketing, a student must:

• hold any Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 point scale) OR
• have a minimum of five years equivalent full-time professional work experience in a relevant field OR
• have a combination of alternative admission criteria such as formal, informal and non-formal learning deemed to be equivalent to either of the above.

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Marketing/Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management, a student must hold:

• a related Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale); OR
• a related Graduate Certificate (or equivalent) from a recognised University (or another tertiary institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale).

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Information Systems and Information Technology Management, a student must hold:

• a Bachelor degree from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.5 (using a 7.0 scale).

Students who hold a Bachelor degree in Information Technology from a recognised University (or other tertiary institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.5 (using a 7.0 scale) will be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing towards the Masters program.

To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Business, a student must:

• hold an undergraduate degree in a related discipline from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum Grade Point Average of 5.0 (using a 7.0 scale) over the last two years of the Bachelor degree, OR
• hold a Masters degree in a related discipline from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum Grade Point Average of 5.0 (using a 7.0 scale), OR
• have completed the Graduate Certificate in Research Studies in Business with a minimum GPA of 5.0 (using a 7.0 point scale).

Students who successfully complete courses in the Graduate Certificate in Research Studies in Business with a minimum GPA of 5.0 without graduating will be able to transfer to the Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Business (4160). Students who graduate with the Graduate Certificate and seek admission to the Graduate Diploma will be required to complete 60 credit points in order to successfully complete the Graduate Diploma.

The Program Director will take the following criteria into consideration when assessing applications for admission:

• evidence of the willingness of an appropriately qualified staff member to serve as a research supervisor.
