I have worked on a pro-bono job for DV women's shelters which is just one of many across the company.

Northrop is heavily involved with PIF (property Investment Foundation) fundraising helping to house homeless youth in Australia. Northrop is providing pro bono structural and civil engineering services for youth accommodation in Syd

The company has been involved in many social projects. I have personally worked on PIF projects that provide shelter to homeless youths. The company also have sent graduates to help on flood in Melbourne a year or two years ago. I find this very fulfilling

Strongly involved with the university and training undergraduates in courses at the university with subject experts. Involved with local charities including Ronald Mcdonald House.

The company is committed to Carbon neutrality and have strategic directions to this regard for the years to come. It a multidisciplinary company but I work in structural section. I have worked on steel framed structure, reinforced concrete and timber design.

They have many initiatives and fundraisers running throughout the year such as Naidoc and International Womens Day information session, Harmony Day Food Festival, Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, Push up Challenge for Mental Health and Ronald McDonald Gold Day Charity. Some of these are run by the employer, and others is an office initiative.

Northrop places a lot of importance on sustainability and inclusion. In my brief time at the company so far, I have already participated in several company conferences on sustainable design and watched a presentation from an indigenous artist during NAIDOC week.
