There are lots of opportunities for secondments as well as formal role changes

DEECA has several social responsibility initiatives. The ones I'm most familiar with are the ones around procurement that encourage teams to seek out businesses that are First Nations owned, support disadvantaged communities, or have clear environmental sustainability protocols

In most cases, the culture is supportive and collaborative, and there is the opportunity for socialising among colleagues

While I don't think the organisation has fully reached its diversity potential, there are a lot of initiatives in place to increase this

Most of the time my work is interesting and challenges me

My managers have provided great feedback at every stage helping me to hone in on my strengths and interests for future roles

The offices are well-equipped, clean, and modern

The graduate program specifically is pretty involved with 5 or so stages to get through, but you are given plenty of information about what to expect at each stage

The graduate salary does start low, although this is somewhat made up for by the personal L&D budget

The grad program comes with a personal L&D budget on top of the general team training

I have found DEECA to be incredibly flexible with hours.

Most offices have waste disposal systems that allow for recycling and composting, as well as waste champions that can help keep these systems running
